Welcome to the EDUR Exchange, our First Pump: The PBU-201

Welcome to the EDUR EXCHANGE a Blog about The EDUR brand of Pumps. This blog is for informational purposes only, if you read some of the information and have a question, please feel free to ask.
For our First Pump blog-post, we're going to go into the Dissolved Air Flotation or "DAF" Industry. DAF pumps produce microbubbles that float contaminants in treatment systems for removal. We offer DAF pumps up to 220 GPM from stock. The EDUR PBU-201 is a small multiphase pump for fluids that can contain gases or air.
Standard centrifugal pumps are in position to handle one phase: Liquid or Gas. EDUR Multiphase pumps with their unique impeller design can handle two phases of liquid and gas mixtures. Shanley Pump and Equipment, Inc. is the direct market representative and distributor for EDUR in the United States and Canada.
The EDUR PBU 201 Multiphase pump is an ideal pump where low capacity is required in a water treatment process. Flow range of 3-11 GPM and can handle up to 15% volume of air or gas. The PBU 201 pump is all constructed from 316 SS (Stainless Steel) material, allowing for a broad range of applications Including:
DAF- Dissolved Air Flotation
316 SS can work with changing PH values in recycle water with PH values of less then 3 up to 9. Nutritional Foods, Rendering, Car Wash, Vegetable Oils, Industrial Laundries and Meat & Poultry are but a few industries the PBU-201 can work in successfully as a DAF Pump.
Ozone Systems
Ozone is one of the safest and best sterilization methods in use today for its being friendly to the environment. The PBU-201 can replace complicated control systems for Ozone gas is used as an Oxidizer for sterilization and disinfection of Potable Water, Waste Water, and Swimming Pool Water.

Pilot Systems / Bench Testing for system design.
The PBU-201 can work with atmospheric air and other gases like ozone, oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen etc.in a DAF system eliminates the need of air compressor and pressure tank required with traditional DAF system. The EDUR pump produces a fine micro bubble 30 microns in diameter creating a great White Water affect for separation of Fat, Oils & Grease.
PBU 210 Advantages:
Small compact design – space savings – pump & motor measures
14.75” L x 6.5” W x 9.85” H.
Motor 3 HP motor @ 3600 RPM 60 Hz.
To Recap:
The PBU-201 is a great addition to your system because;
- Can easily retrofit into existing DAF systems, eliminating compressed air, saving energy.
- Reduction in system components traditionally used in a DAF system such as a compressor, pressure tank, valves, and extra piping making for easier operation and control of system.
- Low dollar investments for pump and motor.
- Green for the Environment, lower energy consumption.
- The PBU-201 will lower operating costs with reduction in chemical usage and reduction in energy cost compared to conventional DAF systems in use today.
- 316 SS, rugged construction can fit into numerous applications and processes and is long lasting.
